This is Amos. An 11-year-old orang-utan who has started to grow into a fabulous adult male. His shoulders are filling out, his muscles are getting bigger and the hair under his arms is growing long. Apenheul is home to wonderful orang-utans. The big, impressive male was Karl. He had dreadlocks, a huge throat sac and big cheeks pads. But Karl was old and unfortunately died when he was 52.
