Facilities

Apenheul is wheelchair accessible and there are dedicated rest room facilities at various places through the park. There are a limited number of wheelchairs that can be loaned at the entrance. A deposit of € 1,00 is required. It is not possible to make reservations.

Child Buggy

Buggies for the youngest visitors can be hired at the entrance. The fee is € 4,00 a day, with a € 6,00 refundable deposit. Again it is not possible to make reservations for a buggy.

Dogs

Dogs or other pets are not permitted in the zoo due to the free roaming monkeys. There is also no kennel available.

Restaurant De Luiaard

The numerous terraces around the restaurant offer you the chance to enjoy a full meal, a snack or simply a drink. This gives the best opportunity to share your impressions and to get a little rest while the children amuse themselves in the Dayak Farm, situated just in front of the main terrace.

Coffee corner De Bushbaby

De Bushbaby offers delicious fresh made sandwiches and various snacks and drinks. The children will be having lots of fun in the playground next to the Bushbaby, equipped with a cord-tunnel and a super-slide, while the parents are enjoying a nice cup of coffee thinking about how impressive the gorilla group is.

The Jungle playground

In the play-jungles, and at several other places, children (and their parents) can go aping around and find out if they are as fast and as strong as monkeys!

Souvenir shop

Would you like to bring back a monkey? This is possible! Our souvenir shop, located near the exit of Apenheul, offers a large assortment of stuffed animals and other nice “monkey” souvenirs. We also sell various products from the Fair Trade Company.
